When we are fighting a battle in any aspect of our lives (it could be in our careers, in our finances, in our homes, in our health, etc), it is important for us not to give up easily. As it has been stated in a lot of verses in the bible about enduring hardships. An example is in 2 Timothy 2:3, it says, "You therefore must endure hardships as a good soldier." Every Christian is considered as a soldier. Once you decide to follow Christ, you automatically become an enemy to the devil, that's why every believer has to see themselves as soldiers in a battle. However, unlike normal soldiers, for believers in Christ, our weapon is prayer.

For every believer in Christ, our weapon is Prayer.

As soldiers try their very best to win every battle, so should we as Christians. The problem is, if we give up, we are telling the devil that we can't fight any more, and that implies that we are leaving that aspect of our lives for him. Whereas the actual truth is God has given us everything we need to survive every hardship and come out victoriously. Once the devil knows he can have an aspect of your life, he will not stop there. He will carry on fighting you in other areas and before you realize, he would have taken everything you owe, including your peace.

The more reason why as believers, it is best for us to be persistent in our prayers. We have to learn to exercise what some preachers call a "violent faith". (praying and believing till our prayers are answered.) Sometimes there is a battle going on in the spiritual realm about you. But the good news is we serve a God who has never loss a battle. The devil may always try his best but it will never be enough to stop God's victory in your life. Even the bible says, on the cross 2000 years ago, Jesus took all powers from him.

The devil himself knows this, he only makes an attempt to see if we will give up, if we do, that means we've allowed him into our lives. And we know what that implies for us believers; more frustration and destruction.

The bible says in Hebrew 10:36 -37, " And, "But my righteous one will live by faith, And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back." But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith are saved."

Even the bible says if we give up in midst of adversities, we are giving ourselves up for destruction. Let us try and dig our heels in any trouble that comes our way and make our minds up that, no matter what comes our way, we are in it to win it. And with God on our side, we shall always come out victoriously. In Jesus' AMEN!
