Our God came so we can have life and have it more abundantly.

The bible says in Luke 11: 28, "Come to me all ye that labor and I will give you rest." Here the bible didn't say come to me all ye righteous, rather all you that are suffering. Which tells us that our God's arms are not open just for the righteous but for every one of us, especially those suffering. Suffering comes in different forms. Some people may be suffering because of some illness or atrocities that they don't know how to deal with. God is saying bring it all before him, and he will give you the perfect solutions. On the other hand, some people may be suffering because they feel guilty of something they did, God is saying bring it all before him and he will give you peace. Unlike human, God doesn't judge us. It doesn't matter how many times we keep doing the wrong thing, he says we should come to him and he will take care of our burden.

Some people may be thinking that what they have done is too heavy for God to forgive them. However, the actual truth is God might not be happy with all our deeds, but he is happy with us, because he loves us. Just like earthly parents wouldn't push their children away because they've done something wrong, so does God. God's love for us is even stronger than that of earthly parents for their children.

One thing is, the devil will always love to convince mankind to make us feel guilty about something we have done. He knows once he gets us to believe that God will never forgive and accept us, then he is happy. That way he can continue to lead us further away from God. Remember, his main aim is to steal, kill and destroy, our God came so we can have life and have it more abundantly.

In Luke 15:11-31, Jesus compared the love of God to that of the prodigal son and his father. The prodigal son went astray and squandered all his wealth after forcing his Dad to give them to him. When he later sat down and realized how much he was suffering, he changed his mind and went back to his father. His father welcomed him with so much joy and threw a party for him. This is the same way God feels about us when we decide to turn to him after everything we have done.

Friends, let us always remember that our God is love. His arms are always open to welcome us into his presence. It is my prayer that we always go to God with confidence knowing that he cares so much about us. AMEN!
