SUFFICIENT IN CHRIST!


True happiness comes from God, therefore as believers, let us live our lives knowing that we are "SUFFICIENT IN CHRIST."

True happiness comes from God. Most of the time, we tend to get accustomed to certain privileges God has placed in our lives making us think that our happiness depends solely on those areas. Whereas, the actual truth is only God can give us true happiness and peace.


Sometimes the devil may make some believers feel that, their happiness come from certain things around them. (like their jobs, finances, friends, etc.) As a result, they work tirelessly trying to stop these things from being taken away. One thing that we should all know is that, these privileges were given to us by God and that he alone has the power to take them away. And if God does take any of them away, then it is for our own good. Besides, God will not shut a door without opening a greater one for us. If we learn to approach life this way, it will help us depend on God more, and also help avoid negative emotions during difficult moments in life. Besides, we will all agree that life itself is like a roller-coaster; full of ups and downs. And as believers, we need to develop a mindset that will help us depend solely on God, so as to help us overcome every difficult moment and come out victoriously. As the bible says in Romans 8 that, no matter what comes our way, we are more than conquerors not victims.



God will not shut a door without opening a greater one for us!

Additionally, the devil is always working tirelessly looking for ways to deprive believers of their happiness. If the devil notices that your happiness depend on such privileges, he will work hard to use those areas to disturb your peace and happiness.


The bible says in 2 Corinthians 12:9, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in your weakness.” Here God was trying to point it to us as believers that, all we need to survive in life is his Grace and power not on our human understanding. God’s grace can bless your handiwork, so you can multiply, God’s grace can give you good health all the days of your life, God’s grace can open doors of opportunity for you, God’s grace can give you peace and joy. He is all we need in our lives. All we need to do is put him first in everything we do, and he shall bless us immeasurably. As the bible says in, seek first the kingdom and righteousness of God and all other things, shall be added unto you.

If all we need to survive in life is God’s grace, then as believers, we must learn to be content and happy in both good and bad times. As Paul said in Philippians 4: 11-12; “……………., for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learnt the secret of being content in any and every situation, ……….”


It is my prayer that we seek God in everything we do, so we shall experience his surpassing blessing in our lives. AMEN!
