THE DEVIL HATES A CHANGED MINDSET.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23)

Mindset can be defined as a person’s way of thinking. In other words, a person’s mentality. One can also say, a person’s view of life and the way they feel about themselves. Our minds have been established to be one of the most powerful parts of our bodies. Our minds control the way we think, act, respond and react to situations, and also the way we see ourselves.

Owing to this, the devil’s main target is people’s minds. He knows if he can take captive of your thoughts, he can hold you captive for the rest of your life. (May God forbid, that will not happen to any of us.)

Hence the reason why if you have had a negative or defeated mindset for sometime and God gives you the grace and power to rise from it into positive or victorious mindset, the devil will work extremely hard to stop that from happening. Because he knows you've been on the other side, hence you know how it is, as such you will do anything possible to stop yourself from going back. However, thank God, he hasn’t left us at the mercy of the devil, but he has given us power in his name to defeat the devil and his schemes.

Our Lord God made us for a life victory, therefore as believers, let us rise above every defeated mindset and enjoy the abundant life he has called us into.

For instance, if you used to be bound in fear, and God grants you the power to break from that, the devil will use many tricks to get you back into living in fear. But thank God, He that lives in us, is greater than any force that will come against us. (1 John 4:4)

A typical example being if you were that kind of person who had looked down on yourself for a long time, and God grants you the grace to understand who you are in Christ Jesus and start seeing yourself as such. Oh, I tell you, the devil is never happy with that, he wants you to always see yourself as unworthy and as a result, settle for less in life.

As a result, he will try to use tricks like “you are too proud” or try to criticize you from every angle. Whereas true humility is not in any way looking down on yourself, however, respecting anyone whether poor or rich, whether weak or strong, whether in your social status or below your social status, etc.

True humility is not in any way looking down on yourself, however, respecting anyone whether poor or rich, whether weak or strong, whether in your social status or below your social status, etc.

When Jesus came to earth, he was very humble, he dined with people who were disregarded by the Pharisees and the “teachers of the law” as sinners. He never discriminated, yet he spoke with so much authority. As it has been stated in Mark 1: 27, “The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, “What is this?” A new teaching and with authority. He even gives orders to impure spirits and they obey him.”

Friends our mindsets are a very powerful tool hence, the reason why, we need to see ourselves in the right way and, seek God’s guidance always to help us through changing any negative mindsets to something positive. The bible says in Romans 12:2 that, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but, be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Can I just say that, a wrong mindset can hold you back in a lot of ways; it can stop you from putting in much effort to achieve the best in life. Because, a negative mindset will make you feel that, some good opportunities in life are meant for other people and not you and hence you do not put in the effort in achieving them.

A wrong mindset can hold you back in a lot of ways whereas a good one can cause you to shine in every aspect of your life.

Notwithstanding, once you start seeing yourself the right way, the devil will work overtime to try and discourage you from successfully achieving that. He knows there is power in a changed mindset. But the truth is, when we seek God’s guidance, nothing that the enemy will do will be able to stop us.

Whatever we do with God, no matter how many storms the devil will send our way, we shall always end up in victory. It might not always look like it, but trust me, whoever is born of God will never perish.

It is my prayer that we seek God’s guidance in renewing our minds, so we can accomplish every single dream, he has put in our hearts. AMEN!
